How it all started
The idea for the development of the "i" series of software systems was born in 1998 due to industry-wide inability of the then current software systems, to provide simple to learn and use graphical user interfaces, as well as a lack of integration capability for systems using different communications protocols.
The first patent was registered in 2002 by Ivar Kvale, and Scansoft Technologies (PTY) Ltd was formed with Mr. I. Kvale as its first CEO, and granted a license to develop the "i" series of software products.
The range of products includes, iBMS Adrenaline for building automation, control and management, iESCAMS for Emergency Services and Fire Departments, and iBMS Mobile for Adrenaline and iESCAMS.
Scansoft Technologies has gained extensive experience in the development of integrated software applications, and is now poised to becoming one of the market leaders in its field.
Having successfully passed the seeding stage Scansoft is now entering the Series A funding stage to bring investors onboard to grow the company.
